Award-winning German photographer Marc Fischer’s minimalist work is characterized by straight lines and perfectly placed shadows. Starting his career as a professional photographer in fashion and editorial photography, he has since dedicated himself to photographing architecture. Passionate about geometry and inspired by a desire to capture architecture from a different perspective, he set out to explore and rediscover buildings in his hometown Düsseldorf, and other European cities. Although initially color was an important component in his work, other stylistic considerations such as composition, dimension, and the contrast between light and dark became equally, if not more, important. Marc has been the recipient of numerous awards and his work has been recognized and exhibited internationally.
